Dinner – Beth and Ben Do Greek

Ben and I had a long weekend. Ben decided we needed to go on a mini-date night run to get dinner. He took me to Papouli’s Greek Grill. They have started their Bring Your Own Beer/Wine but since Ben and I do not drink we decided to just go and munch on snacks, salads, or dinner.  It is all in how you see it I guess. I have to say the lighting in the restaurant was off, half of it was pitch black while the other half was covered in setting sunlight.  It made it really difficult to take pictures in. But if there is a will there is a way.

We waited in line for about five minutes while the cashier was busy on the phone looking confused. He finally got around to assisting us and with the noise of the kitchen right behind him, it was difficult for Ben and I to understand what he was asking us for. Ben ordered the Yia Yia Gyro Plate with a salad and orzo.
I ordered the large Caprese salad.
We finished our order with two drinks.
For fast food Greek it definitely was not bad. Ben had a taste of my Caprese Salad and he thought it was amazing. The balsamic vinaigrette is really what makes this salad a salad. This is something I am going to eventually try to make at home. Its relatively healthy if you choose light mozzarella or maybe just eat a smaller portion.  If I had to order again I would choose the smaller portion because it is just really too much cheese for myself to handle. How was your weekend?  What was the best food experience you had this past week?  I would love you to let me know in the comments below. Have a great week and good food thoughts.
